R next week - Hand-painted “Wing Song”, vivid colbalt & indigo blues with pink and tangerine. I measured the violin it’s 174” from stern to bow ;-) that’s about how much I know about violins but I googled how to measure to tell size. It’s a full violin. Violin works just needs a tuning, the bow needs to be to be rethreaded. Will be a bit pickier with this item as the violin does work and is in GUC. The art took a while due to a recent injury I’m recovering from but it was wonderful to know I can still paint 🎨 #artzone #hope #handmade #art #violin

My daughter sent this pic taken this morning - they are still in lockdown too obviously dwtn Seattle but in an early stroll with the pup they could see Mt Rainer this morning - normally they can’t with smog and overcast rainy days.

Keeping busy indoors...Day 16 or 17 I think? Losing track. Had to paint a spirit piece today because it feels like Spring is heady in its stead to transform - and I need bright colours and flighty movement to keep me aloft if even supine indoors. Work in progress today, some welcome colour alone at home.

This ol guitar is broken and would have been cast aside but now it lives again as host to winged beauty - if I can’t see the mighty Heron right now as the season shifts beyond my door - then I will paint Him. The undulating curves of the guitar immediately inspired a tribute to the graceful curves of The Crane and Heron.

Wishing Everyone a safe and peaceful Saturday! It’s tough staying indoors for many of us - I’m filling my time painting and netflixing good shows that make me smile (while trying not to panic when I see actors touching each other onscreen - sigh the world has changed temporarily I hope). Staying At Home

If you put glass vases on your windowsill at some point thru the day a rainbow will be cast. For me it’s between 2:15 and 2:45 - it casts upon my white throw while I’m hunkered on the sofa marathoning Northern Exposure. It’s nice to get my own private rainbow while in self isolation. #light #stayingathome
