Update Announcement!

Hi Bunz!

It’s been a while since we have had an update for you, we’ve been diligently working in the background on a major update to Bunz.

In the next few weeks, we will be releasing this update to both apps and the website. This is a big overhaul of Bunz for both design and functionality, including a new system for BTZ use, the latter of which will be explained in a coming update.

As this update requires a very large undertaking with data migration, there will be some features that may or may not be available the day we release the new app, but will be coming back in future updates. All of your current account data will be retained to date, and migrated back to your account as we move forward with future updates.

Those features are:

-past BTZ transactions -completed trades and reviews received -followers -likes -interests -ability to delete your posts (we will have this function on our end for safety, we can also delete posts for you as needed, prior to the release of the feature returning)

There are some features currently available that we have not yet built into the new infrastructure, but will be coming in future updates.

Some of those features are:

-saved searches -post comments -blocked users

We will also have some features that will be removed and others that will no longer function the same as they used to.

Communities Feature: Removed

This feature will be removed entirely. In the just over 3yrs since this feature was introduced to the Bunz Community, it has not taken flight in the way that we would have hoped, so we have decided to remove it.

Direct Messages: Changed

We have changed the way that the messaging feature works. Each message to another Bun will be related to either an item or an ISO, so you won’t be able to message another Bun without the chat be tied to an item or an ISO on their profile. This change was made to streamline trading and reduce unwanted interactions.

Your current chats will not be accessible once we launch the update due to the change to how contacting other Bunz will function. If you have any pertinent information you may need for ongoing trades, please ensure that you take down that information

We are looking at all options in order to migrate the chat data back in a cohesive way.

If you are not following the Bunz you are trading with, please follow them prior to launch, so that they show up in your home feed. Searching users will not be available at launch, but the feature will return shortly after launch.

ISO Feature: Changed

The ISO feature will now be tied to your profile. You will see 4 options in the bottom bar of your profile view. Posts, ISOs, Likes, Reviews. Your ISO list will live there as individual posts for each ISO, where you will be able to add photos, a description, and a category. Other Bunz will be able to send a message related to your specific ISOs.

Daily BTZ Drop: Temporary Hiatus

We will be changing the way the BTZ Drop functionality works and bringing it back ASAP.

Our tentative release date is October 4th - this is subject to change in the event any issues arise.
