Camping

I have a pretty specific offer, but there are so many rad people on here maybe I’ll find a good match!

So we are escaping the city, for a great little piece of land north of Oshawa. The whole property is a fixer upper to put mildly, and I’ll need help with a) removing some invasive species and b) cleaning up some garbage in the woods. There is a great spot to camp on the property next to a stream, and with campsites being shut down, I’m proposing a trade of camping for some help. I’m thinking about an hour of help per night of camping?

You:

1. have your own transportation
2. are an experienced camper (have all your equipment, know how to safely manage a fire, etc)
3. know about identifying invasive species- right now I see so many gypsy moth eggs and patches of garlic mustard
4. are chill

I don’t have any amenities, so you’ll have to bring your water (we are fixing our well system, can refill water when that is done), and we will provide a thunderbox but you’ll have to pack out your own waste. If you don’t know what I mean then maybe this isn’t for you, or Google it to see if it is. No dogs, sorry. I also do not want any foraging on the property.

Social distancing a must, this is a great chance to escape either solo or with your household. There are some larger conservation areas close by if you want to go for a bigger hike.
