Pursuing fitness is often a privilege. exercise takes extra time, fitness professionals can be expensive, and fitness spaces can be intimidating or inaccessible -- we want to change all that. fitness in place has a place for everyone.

WHO ARE WE?

Fitness In Place is led by Coach Vysh (@vy_she_lifts, a sri lankan tamil canadian) and Coach Pat (@punkrockpat, a transplant from usa to canada).

We are both certified personal trainers, each with 5+ years of experience in competitive athletics (wrestling, tennis, olympic lifting, bodybuilding). 

Additionally, we have activity-specific instructional experience with all ages and experience levels. we are a team in the gym and in life; together, we have a passion of bringing health and fitness to all.

This workshop is FREE for Fitness In Place and donation based (BTZ ACCEPTED) for non-members. This time around all funds will be going to Dr. Roz's Healing Place (DRHP), a local non-profit in Toronto -- "DRHP provides emergency crisis and care to all those who identify as women, children, and youth emerging from abusive relationships. DRHP provides access to a safe living environment conducive to healing wellness.”

As @fitness_in_place is hosting, our mission is to provide fitness access and community to anyone we can reach no matter the skill level, body size, or income. This is why there is a sliding scale of $10-$20 and ALL proceeds to this workshop will be donated to Kudai Centre (local organization in Toronto, Canada), a transitional home for women, specially Tamil women, who are seeking independence from their home.

Fitness in Place is an interactive workout community that was cultivated during during the initial COVID lock downs. With over 75 sessions completed, we creatively utilize common household items IN PLACE of traditional workout equipment. Equal parts instruction/demonstration and workout out :)

There is none. We want to empower anyone and  everyone through movement. We have several pricing options ranging from as little as $5 a month to $50 a month for varying incomes in this challenging times and NOW we have scholarships too!!!
