While it is great Bunz is using their survey to offer education on the history and colonization of Canada, I can't imagine how linking to Amazon, a massive conglomerate that has built its empire off of the backs of vulnerable employees whose basic work rights are constantly minimized and violated, helps the cause. Not sure how to get this info to the ones who need to hear it, but if Bunz is going to engage in the conversation, at least make a list or directory of black/indigenous owned bookstores or businesses people can support.

Black / Indigenous Owned Bookstores

I am a bit surprised I have yet to see posts on here discussing trading during COVID-19 outbreak... I have an autoimmune disease which keeps me susceptible and vulnerable to viruses/diseases and has me second guessing whether pursuing pending trades is a good idea. I wonder if there are any other users on here concerned about trading and, if so, what precautions are you taking, if any, for upcoming trades? seeing as trading apps tend to neglect addressing these types of concerns, I would love to know what others on here are doing to prevent the potential further spreading of COVID-19 and whether taking a collective break from Bunz would be beneficial, and whether individual breaks will have negative repercussions with pending trades.
it is also worth noting that I am a touring musician, and although this may seem like a post ingrained in hysteria, I am facing some very real repercussions with festival dates being cancelled, airline travel bans, limited entry into certain countries, etc which is not only affecting upcoming contractual obligations, but is also affecting an entire year of financial security that comes along with employment as well as any future plans to release/tour music, along with the fallout of cancelling flights/travel/hotels/etc that my insurance will not cover. regardless of the financial setback and inconvenience, my/your/our health takes presidence!

Hello hello! I am here to tell you about The Starving Artist Clothing Library and the items we are hoping to acquire prior to its opening this April! The SACL is a borrowing library for performing artists which will have clothing, shoes and accessories, along with travel essentials like adapters, travel irons, straighteners/blow dryers, clothes steamers, suitcases, etc, among other necessities. The ultimate goal is to offer performing artists an accessible and affordable resource to remedy financial pressure associated with photo shoots, live performances, interviews, touring, and other creative endeavors. the library will run like other libraries of things (ie your local community tool library), and with that said, we are hoping to acquire new/lightly used pants, jackets, dresses, blouses, accessories (belts, necklaces, rings), shoes, and other miscellaneous items like travel-sized straighteners, blow dryers, converters and gear that would be suotae for touring performers. We are also looking for storage bins, shoe racks, clothing hangars and any other items that lend a hand in organization. Bunz has been an incredible resource to organize trades/donations, and I am very grateful to those who have been supportive and receptive to this initiative. it's certainly a passion project that has a lot of blood, sweat and tears behind it, and I can not thank you all enough for the words of encouragement so far in seeing this come to life. It certainly takes a community.

notes about trades/donations: I am only looking for clean clothes from smoke-free homes. animals/pets ok as long as the items are cleaned, but they must be washed and, if not, I will unfortunately have to refuse the items. like many others, I suffer from severe allergies, and a recent trade almost landed me in the hospital... so, it's a non-negotiable requirement at this point. although donations are welcome and absolutely appreciated, I reserve the right to refuse items that aren't suited for the library. please understand that the library needs items of quality that won't break/fall apart after multiple wears/uses, and would be appropriate for performing versus casual wear (we do not need underwear, pajamas, sweats with university logo, fuzzy slippers, etc). I have had a few individuals use this call-out as a personal delivery service to offload damaged clothing to the dump, and I can't tell you how disheartening that is. if you can not be bothered to lug it on the bus as it is a waste of time and money, just imagine how financially taxing it is on me driving to you, picking up items I can not use, and taking to the landfill as the items are damaged beyond repair and can not be donated to the thrift store (which would just be another financial setback for them). the money I end up paying to deal with your garbage could have been spent investing back into the library/my community, so just think about that before reaching out. pictures are very much needed before a trade/pick up can be confirmed, so if we have not organized a date and time, then the trade/donation is confirmed. it is also worth nothing that if we are doing a true value trade, I have listed my preferred meeting points in my profile. I will not pick up unless gas is factored into our trade/arranged prior. I fear there are many Bunz users who are new and are hoping for cash/GC's and are only interested in a true trade value, and if that's the case, I will happily barter, but my life hours, gas mileage, KMs on my car and everything else will then be factored in to meet you in the middle for a "true trade value".

note: the deep red and dark pink/purple stand out more than the light brown/pink, so it just depends if you would like the tint to be more subtle or prominent. it will not offer coverage like a lipstick, as its purpose is to give the lips/cheeks a kiss of colour while offering natural, moisturizing and protective properties.

I get all of my ingredients from the Soap Dispensary, so you can feel good about getting a low waste product. also, once you have run out of your tin (which you won't for a veeeerry long time) I'd be happy to collect the tin again and refill for less BTZ (or smaller ISO).

I started giving these out as gifts to family and friends for Christmas several years ago, and am now finding myself getting requests from extended family, friends of friends, neighbors, my mom's cleaning lady, and now even my step siblings teachers! My coworker's husband stole her tin and never leaves the house without it (so she says)... a few friends mentioned I should post these on here because they like it so much, so here we are! 

I get all of my ingredients from the Soap Dispensary, so you can feel good about the fact that you're getting a completely zero waste product! Also, once you have run out of your tin (which you won't for a veeeerry long time; I've had mine for going on two years and it's not even half finished), I will gladly pick it up from you and refill for a discount :). Can come in small/large circular screw top or square slide-top container. 800 BTZ for small 1000 BTZ for large (small circular screw-top shown in photo).

Side note, I live on Vancouver Island and am in the Lower Mainland every 2-3 weeks.
