Soapstone Carvings, 1960s?

One is damaged. Maybe it can be transformed? These two appear to be soapstone. One is a seal about 5 inches tall with - I think - “Mark” etched onto the bottom. The second is a loon but it must have been dropped because it’s head is mostly missing :( If you are a carver can you rescue it? I think these date to the 1960s when my grandparents were posted to Canada for work and did lots of touring around the country. I’m guessing they are from the North but I am not an expert so I won’t presume. (In fact please feel free to weigh in if you can better identify them.) They are really neat looking but I can’t keep them for lack of space so I hope they find a better home soon! #vintage #soapstone #art
