Signal Boost Galentine’s Online Donation Drive

Hello! Not a trade but a request to bring some help to Ottawa’s vulnerable

In 2019, Galentine’s was created based off a similar initiative in Winnipeg. Like its counterpart, our efforts provided care packages filled with essentials and special treats to over 50 women accessing services and supports through three organizations: Interval House Ottawa, Elizabeth Fry Society and Minwaashin Lodge.

COVID-19 has dramatically changed our world and with it Galentine’s Day 2021. We made the difficult decision to forgo group gatherings and unnecessary contact to keep everyone safe. There will be no event and gift bags this year.

With that said, the need for supplies and support is greater than ever. Working with the same local centres, Galentine’s Day 613 will continue its mission: to ensure that on Valentine’s Day-a day that can be challenging for many people-every woman identified person has the opportunity to feel special, cared for and loved.
