Did you know that you can recycle your pens, mechanical pencils, markers and highlighters?! Now you know! Staples is partnered with TerraCycle, which recycles writing instruments.
The Staples website says to bring the instruments to your local Staples store and the TerraCycle website has a map of stores that participate in this recycling program, but I can't seem to get the map to work. I'm guessing there would be a few in Toronto that are participating.
Check out your local Staples to find out more! and you can read more here https://www.terracycle.ca/en-CA/brigades/writing-instrument-retail-based-brigade
as well as here to learn more about Staples other wonderful recycling programs https://www.staples.ca/sbdca/en_CA/cre/marketing/staples_soul/environment.html#recycling_made_easy
**UPDATE apparently some stores have no idea about this? (See comments) 😩 I guess phoning ahead to nearby locations is your best bet **
