ISO HELP ASAP ON TECHNICAL DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENT!

Calling all bunz who know a thing or two about digital photography and want to HELP SAVE MY ASS:

I'm taking a digital photography class at U of T this semester and due to using preprogrammed functions up until now I am seriously lacking in technical skills, which is why I've completely avoided this assignment until now (!!!). My assignment is due Thursday morning and requires me to hand in 10 prints, each of which demonstrates control of a certain technical function (ie: blur, stopped motion, black and white, depth of field etc.). My problem is that the internet/the info provided in class is pretty useless when it comes to providing specific practical instructions i.e.: I can't find any comprehensive guide on the internet or elsewhere that tells, step-by-step what exact settings to use etc. and not just very general principles.

I am begging either for A. a link to a technical guide to digital photography that is very no-nonsense or B. for someone, who is available tomorrow between 12 and 6 to perhaps meet up with me and help me shoot according to the parameters of the assignment. I will compensate you generously with whatever you think is appropriate (i.e.: a giftcard or alcoholic beverage of your choosing - or anything your heart desires, really)
