Darwinian As Fuck

Charles Darwin's theory of evolution proposes that all species come from previous species by changing over time to adapt to altered conditions in their natural habitat. Those species that didn't adapt, died out. He based this theory on his observations of various insect, animal and human specimens during his five years as a naturalist aboard the HMS Beagle. He probably wasn't nude for much of that voyage but who knows what the crew got up to in their down time.

Upon publishing his theory and a bunch of really great drawings in On the Origin of Species in 1859, Darwin was vilified by competitor researchers and the Church who all held that all living things either existed as they appeared because they had been created that way by god or poofed into existence by an act of the same god.

I wonder what that generation would have thought about an 8gb and 2gb sd memory card each evolving into micro sd cards when one of those technological earthquakes I wrote about in another post, happened. I think probably not much since anyone born in the early 1800s probably would have died in shock at the sight of our world and all of its automated technology.

On the other hand, these were probably an inspiration to the idea of creationism. I mean, imagine the level of intelligent design that went into making sure that expanding storage space didn't mean expanding the size of the memory card, and not only that but also made sure that it was adaptable to fit inside the original size card reader - now that's some serious intelligence! Silly creationists.
