BNIP Japanese Odor Absorber

I have three of these, two brand new never opened and then the one displayed has been opened. I bought these in Japan, they're odour absorbers and I was told that rinsing it with water and drying it in the sun reactivates them. Probably not unlike a charcoal filter.
