Parting with my wooden pour-over coffee block by Canadiano. This hardy, compact, and light-weight lil guy is made from solid ash and it makes a GREAT cup of coffee! Used and well-loved, but still in fine condition.
I chose the ash block because I was particularly keen on being able to appreciate the coffee stain on the wood grain and having the piece grow with me over time...and it has! But unfortunately, I find myself really just using my French press these days. :(
It only has two parts—the wood block and a very thin, fine-mesh stainless steel filter. You disassemble it by pulling out the filter, and you can then rinse both parts and let it air dry. You don't need any additional cloth or paper filters as the stainless steel one is already very fine. It can be tricky to take the filter out though, because it sits rather snugly in the block, so I recommend gently leveraging the filter out at the top of the seam with a small spoon or the tip of your fingernail. If you try to grab the filter and press/squeeze to pull it out, it becomes quite the struggle...
