Picnic Backpack Cooler w/ Supplies and Blanket

For sale is a rugged Swiss-made Katadyn Combi water filter. It's great for backpacking, canoeing or whatever you need - basically the best water filter that money can buy.

Only been used 2-3 times, but is missing the filter cartridge, which can be purchased from MEC or online for ~$40. Comes with everything else in the original carrying bag. Retails for $275.

Great for groups and expedition use, the time-proven and field-proven ceramic filter is combined with an optional carbon stage to remove some chemicals (including iodine and chlorine) as well as tastes and odours. The weight of the rugged polymer and stainless steel housing is somewhat above average, but so is the rapid output of clean water.

Housing has an ergonomic grip.

Supplied adapter directs water into wide-mouth 1L bottles, or Sigg bottles, to minimize spillage and the risk of cross-contamination.

Included measuring gauge is used to check minimum diameter of the ceramic element to determine when replacement is necessary.

Flow rate is 1.2L / minute.

Effective against all protozoa, and most bacteria, including smaller ones such as campylobacter.

Silver-impregnated ceramic filter element. Nominal life of 50,000L (actual yield depends on water quality and clarity).

Granular carbon treats up to 400L.
