Don’t Put Your Clothes In The Recycling

Just in case anyone thinks the city of Toronto recycles textiles (aka cloth items), they do not!

It’s very costly if you put them in the blue recycling bins as clothes can get stuck in and damage sorting machines.

So do not put your old clothes in blue bins! Some places like H&M have “recycling” bins but they usually just resell the clothes.

If you want a money saving tip, take old/stained clothes and cut them up into clothes you can use and toss out like paper towel when you are cleaning.
